User-friendliness and cost were the main reasons why the international shipping company changed their crisis management tool to RAYVN.

Siem Offshore is an international shipping company with a total of 31 vessels and 1050 employees. Their European fleet is operated out of Kristiansand in Norway, where supply vessels, anchor handling tug supply vessels, and offshore subsea construction vessels for the North Sea is a central part of their operations. The company also has offices in Australia, Brazil, Ghana, Canada, and the U.S. Siem Offshore implemented the RAYVN crisis management tool in their organization in 2019.
"We often see that when implementing new software, the new tools are received with a certain hesitation from employees. RAYVN was different. The tool was well-received by all employees from day one. Even our CFO was happy, as RAYVN was had a significantly lower cost than our previous software supplier," Dag says
Siem Offshore's vessels operate worldwide, and their crisis management team is frequently involved in different situations across the fleet and locations. RAYVN is used both during real incidents and for crisis management exercises. Last year the company experienced one serious incident aboard a vessel, where recently hired staff had to handle an ongoing situation.
"We were able to swiftly train the new hire in using our crisis management tool from RAYVN. She quickly became familiarized with the tool and our routines. This simplified crisis management and assured effective and correct log keeping according to protocol."
Siem Offshore also highlights that RAYVN's crisis management tool facilitates collaboration with other companies and suppliers.
"RAYVN can be used both by the crisis management team and first-line responders, but also by new partners entering the collaboration during an ongoing crisis. This means that everyone involved in crisis management can make real-time decisions based on the same information, and everyone has up-to-date information at all times."
One final aspect of importance to Siem Offshore is the RAYVN customer service.
"The company is extremely professional and service-minded. Should any questions arise, they help us immediately. They don't try to add extra quibble or upsell unnecessary services, but listen carefully when we need changes or adaptations," says Dag E. Snemyr.
