Background and challenges

Keolis’ top priority is safety. Transporting approximately 45 000 passengers daily, as well as having drivers, dispatchers, and cleaners out on the rail line, various incidents in different scales may occur. The communication processes during these incidents were one of Keolis’ key challenges. Molijn states, “During an incident, a number of people need to be notified, and it is crucial that all teams and personnel involved are kept in the loop. RAYVN solves this critical challenge with its instant notification function through the app, email and text messages, available with the click of one button only”.

Logging with RAYVN

In addition to solving communication issues, Keolis also actively uses RAYVN as a tool for logging how they manage an incident. Activities, tasks, and incidents are constantly being logged in the feed. The shared log give all personnel updated information in real-time. “It is critical for us to quickly get a total overview of the situations and with RAYVN, incident logs can be implemented in less than 30 seconds, and staff members are notified immediately. We no longer have to compose emails or text messages”, says Molijn. He further adds, “Time-consuming paperwork is now digitized, making the daily operations of Bybanen more efficient. The real-time sharing of important information among Security Manager, maintenance, and Operations Manager is accessible at any time, and all documentation is saved in reports for analysis according to contingency plans”.
